Mar 17, 2020
The legendary Defender may have been phased out to make way for a more modern design.
However, fear not for the legend lives on!
The Flying Huntsman Defender 6X6 Pick Up made its international debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, with the converging press and automotive experts giving the vehicle a resounding thumbs up.
With a limited production run, this coach built vehicle commands a premium over standard Defender models. And who could say no to a mouth-watering blend of nostalgic cues with a few modern creature comforts?
The Flying Huntsman Pickup features a heavily modified body and structure that is still recognisably related to the Land Rover Defender on which its based.
The Huntsman Pickup’s bonnet is 400mm longer than the standard vehicle. Afzal Kahn’s creation is also 150mm wider than the original vehicle and, as such, feature wider front and rear wings with new vents.
With prices starting from £150,000, these special edition Land Rover Defender models are highly sought-after machines.
It’s a given that the 6X6 Flying Huntsman Pick Up is superior to the current Defender, therefore, this is your last chance to acquire what is probably one of the most unique British vehicles ever made.
Like any other good automotive story out there, the Defender has been be phased out because of increasingly stringent emission standards, but is there a petrol head out there who would refuse an opportunity to drive such a vehicle?
